Today, I wanted to take a moment and welcome all readers and subscribers and thank you all for making me feel seen. After things change your life, it can be difficult to find your place in your new world. I’ve experienced many struggles that lead me to believe that I may not be on the right path in life but as things fall into place in relation to one another, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a bit of what life has to offer.
Having a clearer picture of where my life is headed is allowing me to still myself within my path so that, hopefully, I can make the most out of this next leg of the journey. Everything surrounded by the pandemic left me with so much uncertainty that I often felt like I had no idea what I would do next or be able to do.
Being a parent to such a young child and not having any friends or family nearby poses many difficulties for my family. The person who gets the shortest end of the stick is always me. I have to be sure the home is taken care of before I can venture out and do my own thing. Newly placed measures have allowed the next opportunity for me to obtain a bit more daytime childcare than I had before. Feeling like I was put on pause and unable to grow outside of the home lead me to feelings of minor resentment that this pandemic can actually exist in a time of mass communication and advanced technology.
Even as I sit here typing this post today, I find myself rolling my eyes and scoffing at the sound of my spouse requesting yet another cup of coffee from a machine he purchased yet has the slightest clue on how to operate. The unfortunate matter is that I won’t get any chances for independence until my family can find their independence outside of my interference.
This post wasn’t meant for me to dump on you but if you’ve read to the end, please enjoy a few of my latest walkabout photos.
I enjoy showing my appreciation for individuals who support me no matter where I’m headed. If you have anything supportive (but not heavily critical), I’d love to hear from you!
If you enjoyed this post, please like it so I may continue providing intriguing and thoughtful topics.
