Being organized is an essential part of being successful. While your way of going about it may be different from the next person’s method, having some type of system in place helps to create a truly buildable foundation.
As I sort through a mound of receipts related to expenses for creating the business and growing inventory, I realize that this is no way to start a successful business regardless of talent.
Staying focused on tasks during these usual times has been different. I used to multitask so well but a few life changes caused me to take a break from the workforce. Now I find the things that I could do in my sleep are harder than ever to complete if it requires my attention for longer than 20 minutes.
Now is the time to buckle down and get focused. Typically, I narrow my tasks down to three options where I need to place my attention.
Here are some of the things I feel may pilot me into the next phase of growing my photography business:
- Dedicate more time to the business side of the business
- Educate myself about business and finances
- Perfect my craft (otherwise, there is no business to mind)
Here is a list of things I like to do to reconnect with my goals:
- Meditation
- Creating a routine that includes working out and eating healthy
- Frequent breaks to reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed
